Crafty Critters: Live Animal Presentation
Learn more about animals and their natural habitat when we bring our United Technologies Wildlife Sanctuary residents for a visit to your classroom. Lots of animals to choose from: turtle, tortoise, ferret, bearded dragon, snake and chinchilla. Program time: 30 or 45 min. (T)
Bubbling Over: Water Play
The ever popular science of bubbles and water, this is a real hands-on science station experience! Let children experiment with what sinks and floats, what fizzes and foams, bubble making, and other amazing properties of water. Program time: 45 min. (T)
Attraction Action: Mighty Magnets & More
By popular demand we created this action packed interactive program surrounding the pull, push and power of magnets. We will experiment with size, shape and strength as well as compare magnetic strength to other ‘sticky’ surfaces. Program time: 45 min.
Insect Inspectors: The Busy Life of Bugs
Take an up-close look at some of our favorite insects while learning about the busy lives they live. We’ll work as teams investigating the unique and clever characteristics of their homes and habits. Program time: 30 min.
Dibble, Dabble, Do!: A Close Up Look at Colors
A dibble of yellow, a dabble of blue, put them together and look at what’s new! Using a variety of mediums we’ll mix and match, create tints and shades, and become color magicians. A wonderful, hands-on, exploration into color and how it makes us feel. Program time: 30 or 45 min. (T)
Winged Warriors: Butterflies, Birds & Bats
It’s time to sharpen our senses as we investigate how our flying friends rely on their senses to live during the day and night. Through interactive games we’ll uncover the qualities unique to each of these aviators. Program time: 45 min.
