Worming up to Science

Grades 1 - 2
Examine an invertebrate that helps clean up the scraps. Explore the senses, life cycle, and survival needs of a redworm.

Students conduct various experiments relative to the habitat of a redworm. They are introduced to the concept of a worm bin and vermicomposting.
