The Children's Museum Preschool

“Baby Sullly” Meets Our Pre-Schoolers

When Tom Anderson and Kevin Sullivan introduced our new animatronic triceratops, the pre-schoolers had a blast and quickly came up with its name – “Baby Sully.”  Staff at The Children’s Museum personally raised funds to buy the little dinosaur that now greets visitors at our front door.

Welcome to a place where young children are encouraged to play, discover, explore and challenge. By offering a variety of child-centered activities, teachers nurture curiosity and the desire to learn.

Hands-on materials encourage the development of creative, expressive, scientific, mathematical and literary skills in our children. Situations are created each day to develop social skills such as sharing, taking turns and respecting others.

The Children's Museum Preschool is one of the oldest early childhood educational centers in the country. In partnership with The Children’s Museum, the preschool is unique in its ability to enrich and engage children in scientific exploration. Children eagerly participate in weekly visits to the Children's Museum including: live animal demonstrations, physical science lessons (magnets, plants), planetarium shows, featured exhibits, and so much more.
