Special Science Wednesdays
Each Wednesday from 11 AM 4 PM the Museum features unique science activities for the family. Registration is not needed.
The Great Egg Drop - August 6, 2008
Because you demanded it, it’s the return of the world's most eggs-citing experiment. Armed only with ordinary household materials, you'll have to build a device that will protect an egg from a fall of more than 15 feet.
Science Olympics - August 13, 2008
Learn about the first Olympics and crack the ancient code of the Greeks. Discover how our muscles work to power us through the Olympic Games and even examine a real heart.
Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Day - August 20, 2008
End the summer in the coolest way possible: with ice cream. Using super-cold liquid nitrogen (at a chilly -320 degrees) we'll concoct ice cream from scratch. Free while supplies last!

New at The Planetarium -
Earth’s Wild Ride
This summer, our new program in the new Travelers Science Dome at the Gengras Planetarium is Earth’s Wild Ride. Imagine Earth, a distant place you once called home but could never visit again. What would you remember most about the planet, and how would you describe it to your children and grandchildren? Visit our website for more information.
This show is made possible thanks to
Hamilton Sundstrand.
